A short stay in St Kilda, Melbourne on our way back to Perth, had us wondering when we came across this huge sculpture of a rhino. What on earth was a sculpture of a rhino doing at St Kilda?

A closer inspection revealed the rhino had two heads…….

And then we read the story……..

so, so sad!!!!
This makes me sick. I will never understand how money is more important than life of any kind!

Poaching is such a cruel and devastating activity. Other species of rhinos are still being hunted for their horns, and elephants for tusks. Horrible.

I know. It’s sickening. Apparently they are trying IVF using these two rhinos eggs, and frozen sperm harvested from males before they all died. A surrogate southern white rhino will be used. Oh I do hope they’re successful.
